Spiritual Himalaya Pilgrimage 2027 – Booking Terms & Conditions

These Booking Terms & Conditions govern participation in the Spiritual Himalaya Pilgrimage 2027 hosted by Spiritual Himalaya, Finland and operated in partnership with Spiritual Expeditions Pvt. Ltd., Nepal.

By submitting a reservation and making any payments toward the pilgrimage, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Pilgrimage Host and Operator

The Spiritual Himalaya Pilgrimage 2027 is hosted by Spiritual Himalaya and operated in partnership with Spiritual Expeditions, which is responsible for permits, accommodations, transportation, local guides, support staff, and on-the-ground logistics.

2. Booking and Confirmation

To reserve a place on the pilgrimage, participants must:

• Complete the reservation form.

• Submit a clear copy of their passport.

• Pay the required 500 € non-refundable deposit.

A reservation is considered confirmed only after the deposit and passport copy have been received and acknowledged.

3. Remaining Balance

The remaining balance may be paid by bank transfer before departure or in cash upon arrival in Kathmandu before the pilgrimage begins.

The full pilgrimage fee must be paid before participation in the pilgrimage.Participants who fail to make the remaining payment may be unable to participate in the pilgrimage.

4. Participant Cancellation and Refund Policy

The 500 € booking deposit is non-refundable.

Participants may cancel their participation at any time by notifying Spiritual Himalaya in writing. Any payments made beyond the non-refundable deposit will be refunded if the participant cancels before arriving in Kathmandu for the pilgrimage.

Once a participant has arrived in Kathmandu for the pilgrimage, no refunds will be provided for any payments made.

Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and trip interruption coverage.

5. Cancellation by the Organizers

In the unlikely event that the pilgrimage is cancelled by Spiritual Himalaya or its operating partners, all pilgrimage payments received will be refunded in full.

Spiritual Himalaya and Spiritual Expeditions are not responsible for expenses incurred independently by participants, including but not limited to international flights, visa fees, travel insurance, vaccinations, accommodations outside the pilgrimage itinerary, or other personal travel arrangements.

6. Itinerary Changes

The itinerary provided is intended as a general guide and may be modified due to weather conditions, road conditions, government regulations, border procedures, permit issues, safety considerations, natural events, political circumstances, or other factors beyond the organizers' control.

The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary when deemed necessary for the safety and well-being of participants.

7. Force Majeure

Spiritual Himalaya and Spiritual Expeditions shall not be held liable for delays, changes, interruptions, or cancellations resulting from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, epidemics, border closures, political unrest, acts of government, transportation disruptions, or other force majeure events.

7. Health and Fitness

Participation in the pilgrimage involves travel at high altitude and may include prolonged walking and physically demanding conditions.

Participants are responsible for determining their own physical fitness and suitability for participation.

Participants are encouraged to consult with their healthcare provider before booking if they have any medical concerns or pre-existing health conditions.

8. Assumption of Risk

Participants acknowledge that travel in Nepal and Tibet and participation in the Mount Kailash parikramā involve inherent risks, including but not limited to altitude sickness, illness, injury, transportation delays, adverse weather, and natural hazards.

By participating in the pilgrimage, participants voluntarily assume these risks and accept personal responsibility for their own health, safety, and well-being.

9. Travel Documents and Visas

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they hold a valid passport with sufficient validity for the pilgrimage and for providing any required documents within the requested time frames.

Spiritual Himalaya and its operating partner, Spiritual Expeditions Nepal, will coordinate the necessary Tibet Travel Permit and, where required, the Chinese Group Visa application process.

Guidance and assistance with Nepal entry requirements will also be provided before departure.

Chinese visa fees (where applicable) and Nepal visa fees (where applicable) are not included in the pilgrimage price and remain the responsibility of the participant.

10. Travel Insurance

Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip interruption, and trip cancellation.

11. Participant Responsibility

Participants are expected to exercise reasonable judgment, follow the instructions of guides and group leaders, and conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety, well-being, and harmony of the group.

The organizers reserve the right to decline or terminate participation without refund if a participant's behavior is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or detrimental to the experience or welfare of others.

12. Photography and Media

Photographs and video recordings may be taken during the pilgrimage for educational, promotional, and archival purposes.

Participants will have the opportunity to indicate their photography preferences in the Participant Agreement. Spiritual Himalaya will make every reasonable effort to respect those preferences; however, complete exclusion from incidental group photographs or recordings cannot always be guaranteed.

13. Limitation of Liability

Spiritual Himalaya and Spiritual Expeditions shall not be liable for losses, damages, injuries, delays, additional expenses, or inconveniences arising from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to weather conditions, road closures, government actions, flight cancellations, natural disasters, illness, accidents, political events, or force majeure.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions shall be construed as excluding liability where such exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.

14. Participant Agreement and Waiver

All participants may be required to review, sign, and return a separate Participant Agreement and Assumption of Risk Waiver before departure.

Failure to provide requested documentation may result in cancellation of participation.

15. Acceptance of Terms

Submission of a reservation and payment toward the pilgrimage constitute acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions are intended to promote the safety, well-being, and successful operation of the pilgrimage for the benefit of all participants.
